Light Weight Toy Hauler

I recently traded my f150 in for a wrangler unlimited, so my towing capacity went from 9,600 lbs to 3,500!

I have been day dreaming of building a aluminum cargo hauler into a ultra lightweight toy hauler.
Really my goals are to be able to fit 2 adventure bikes, sleep two, have a sink and stove-top, and possibly AC.

What are your thoughts and tips for taking a 1,200 - 1,300lb trailer to a 2,000 toy hauler?
(adv bikes weight about 500 lbs, and Id like to stay around 3,000 lbs total

Shouldn't be a problem. Tnttt forums titled "foamies". Would recommend a sprung dual axle trailer with a foam box on top. I have a 12' box in front made with interior doors instead of foam (bed on either side center isle) with a 12' flat bed on the rear. Dual 5,200 axles on an old 24' camper frame. I figure I am around 3000 lbs mainly due to the flat bed without the 2200 lb 4x4 on the rear.

Are there premade Foamies? I dont see myself building a trailer group up, but rather converting.
Dual axle because of the way it tows? As the Jeep can only pull 3500 i figured a single 3500 axle was perfect (and lighter)

when i said 3000 total, that's WITH 2 500 lb bikes. So the trailer should be around 2,000 wet.

There are nice lightweight cargo trailers you can buy that meet your weight requirement, just Google lightweight cargo trailer. I would not use a foam wall trailer for hauling stuff and just basic longevity.

when I was looking for a cargo trailer I looked at what they called light weight trailers. IMO they will not hold up very well, especially if taken off road. highdesertranger

Yeah i dont think i will be able to do what i want with a cargo trailer.
Turning my focus to a utility trailer where once unloaded i will set up a tent on the platform, or potentially a rooftop tent
