Hi All
In about a 1.5 years I am off and running.  I wanna learn as much as I can to make my long trip great

Hi WaterLady1200 and welcome to the forum. Best of luck to you in not only learning, but all the other fun stuff too!

Welcome waterlady to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you. highdesertranger

Welcome to the CRLV Forums   :)

With that kind of prep and research time you'll have an excellent chance to land on your feet once you take off.
With the spring season upon us you will be able to yard sale and flea market to find many of the things you would want to outfit yourself with for cheap too.  So do take advantage of your timing.

I didn't notice you stating if you have a vehicle you intend to use for this yet or not.   But in the "fall" of each year when the new model year vehicles begin to arrive at the Car Dealerships,  people begin to sell their older vehicles and you may find a great deal then.

If you need to sell off a lot of stuff that you have that's just sitting around you'll have plenty of time to liquidate.

As for planning how to go about your travels,  the bottom link below is a Portal of info to use to plan with or once you are out living on the road,  to navigate in our travels.

All the best !

Welcome. Plenty of time to prepare. I am curious as well to what your vehicle of choice is.

Welcome. That 1.5 years will just fly by and you'll be on the road!

I have a small 16.5 travel trailer for one person.  Problem is it only has 2 tires and that\ said:

Hi waterlady, and welcome to 1.5 years of fun planning and research!  I have 1.2 years to go myself so don't think you are the only one waiting. "Look twice before you jump" meaning take your time and learn from others who went before.  I've read a lot and just learned something new today on the electrical subforum...

Keep us posted!

Welcome aboard !
You have found a great place to ask all your questions.
LOTS of experience here in the tribe.
