Pretty standard stuff in Africa I think. Gets the tent up off the ground and away from all the nocturnal pests and predators.

In Mozambique, i was In a VW westfalia well off the ground, and was happy to have some permethrin after some Micro toothed critters decided my bed was a place to feast on some white boy blood.

The antimalarial drugs were giving me some vivid nightmares of those critters too.

Was well worth it when conditions aligned though.
