  • [*]75d Polyester
[*]Plush Materials: Soft fabrics give the Luxury MAP mattress next-to-skin comfort
[*]Mapped Comfort: Die-cut foams in high-pressure areas reduce pressure points and provide a more restful sleep
[*]Supportive: Full-density foams in low-pressure areas provide increased support where it's needed most
[*]Extra Thick: 3-inch (7.6 cm) mattress provides superior warmth and comfort

I distrust the "self deflating" pads, after having two of the fail at night.  Expensive lesson learned.
I have two old airmattresses that have served me well on camping trips.

I have a Thermarest from over 20 years ago.. I use it now in a sling-thing that makes it a "chair" for hard surfaces. The valve still holds!!!

Looks comfy.

I had the 1" thick Thermarest back in the day and it lasted 10+ years.

With this model I don't ever plan to roll it up for storage, it's always going to be inflated and ready to go in the "motorhome".

I find the plain old air mattress to have a tendency to destruct under my massive weight and without the foam insulation it's way too cold due to my career ending back injury.

I have Thermarest "sit-upon" that I keep in my laptop bag instead of the normal padding. Then it is always handy for when those coffee shop chairs get too hard for my butt. I fold up one end to sit under the edge of the laptop and the rest lies flat against the back. I've been abusing it like that daily since about 1995. Still looks as good as new.

I have three different Thermarest mattresses. I find them to be of excellent quality. my backpack 3/4 length model got a few holes from me sleeping to close to a popping fire, but I patched them and it still works fine. I didn't know they made a 3", I have a 2" car camper full size but rarely use it. I will probably sell it. highdesertranger
