Insurance for My Truck & An RV?

Hi Guys,&nbsp; I'll be retiring at the end of the year and making adjustments here and there.&nbsp; One thing that has bothered me is that my auto insurance for my 2005&nbsp; F-250 Super Duty was really high.&nbsp; I found an ad on one of the RV site for Hartford I think it was and applied.&nbsp; It came back a fraction of what I am&nbsp; paying but it's a pretty bare boned policy.&nbsp; <br>I am wondering what you all use for your vehicles.&nbsp; Any response would be greatly appreciated. I pay $154/year for $50,000 coverage of just liability on the 1979 BlueBird Wanderlodge. It's an FC-35 if you're interested. I will add collision once I finish the reconditioning. For an appraised value. The liability is with Progressive.

Or I may decide I don't want to go that route (a big bus) and sell it.

I, too, have Progressive.&nbsp; Since I am not full-time (yet!), I have RV, car, and home bundled.&nbsp; I do know from a bad experience that RV insurance and car insurance work differently.&nbsp; When my Class A was totaled, I got pennies for my Claim, even though I had full coverage for a much larger amount.&nbsp; The Claims Adjuster said I was way overinsured.&nbsp; I think shopping around is a good move.

Hi Guys,&nbsp; Well so far, I have visited the Hartford &amp; the Progressive sites and got myself good and confused.&nbsp; At this point, I need to drag out my Auto Club policy and start to do comparisons. <br>My policy with Auto Club, who I have been with for over 30 years, is over 1400 a year.&nbsp; I think<br>those people just got carried away.&nbsp; I only have my F-2 Super Duty and now that I'm retired, drive well under 1K miles a year.&nbsp; I need to figure out exactly what is smart to include other than what the law requires if any...&nbsp; <br><br>I would like to stay with them but what I need to do is get all the quotes and bring 'em down to the AAA office and throw 'em down on the desk and say <br>well what about it!&nbsp; Morgan&nbsp; :::::&nbsp; http://12gaugemusic.com/walkin.html

&nbsp;$1400 sounds high. We pay just a little less than that for our RV but we have a pretty comprehensive policy.&nbsp; Make sure that you tell them you'll be fulltiming. It makes a difference. If you get ordinary insurance they may not pay any claims if they find out that you're fulltiming. Not all insurance companies carry fulltimers insurance though. Ours is with Foremost.
