Hello,

New member from Texas here. I am starting to look into a nomadic life style, or at least a different living space situation. Currently living in a large city in a small apartment. I have always enjoyed small towns and country living as opposed to the cities, but stayed here for work opportunities. Nomadic or RV living has been an interest of mine for over 20 years. The small spaces, and lack of amenities I can handle. Now I have to figure out a way to make money.

On to the point of this post. My job skills center around office work I have usually worked for smaller size companies, and have 30 years of experience. I feel really old now realizing I have been doing this for 30 years. LOL Most of the jobs I see mentioned in this life style are not in my area of experience. I do not mind making a change to something else, that is actually exciting to me. However, with my years of experience in office work I feel that would be my best bet. My main areas of expertise are purchasing, inventory control, project management, and customer service.

Does anyone know of good resources to find remote jobs for purchasing, customer service, office jobs? I have been on google for a few months and doing my own research. However, I thought it would be a good idea to check with the experts on the subject. Perhaps there are nationwide temp agencies that specialize in this area? Or maybe someone reads this and thinks of another career my skills might transfer too.

Anyway, thanks for reading and look forward to seeing any input.

yes, there are a number of nationwide and also regional employment agencies that have office temp work. But nowadays the term for office work and other types of positions fro those agencies is "staffing". Knowing the right keywords brings up faster and better results.

Thank you rvwandering and Maki2. Those are both great replies, and exactly the kind of information I needed.

I have not seen the Technomadia's blog. However, after I check out the tips, tricks and rules thread I will head there next. Also the comment about using the proper search terms is exactly what I needed.

Thanks for the help. Great site that is very helpful. Plus so much of the information is helpful even if you are NOT living a nomadic lifestyle.
