I read a lot about it on ford forums and work truck forums as a lot of people really seem to like the v10 for various hauling and work truck applications.
I may not be a Ford guy, but I had a friend that had a Ford 27' motorhome with the V10, and he was happy with his. He had many trouble free miles with it.
One thing to note, he said he got really good fuel economy with the V10. I wont say what he said he got, but instead will wait on a report from you.
Anyway, Congratulations, and I hope you have the same luck with yours. :)

Just out of curiosity, what does it cost to have the spark plug inserts installed?  Do they pull the heads to do that, or can they do it in the vehicle?

I went to look at it today.  One word.  BIG!    All that room, and mileage close to my van.

I'd say he found a good one.  :D

I rail against them worse than most and I think you did great!

The maddening thing about the Ford sparkplug problem is that otherwise those are really good engines!! They just kicked themselves in the teeth with such a foolish mistake. I think you'll be extremely happy with that rig!

Say nothing about a conversion. Save all your receipts, especially for big ticket items. This will help assign a value to the effort. A value is needed for the insurance policy coverage and Missouri's property tax.

Once the conversion and RV certification is completed, then attempt to insure it as an RV.

I want to add to this as far as not saying it's a conversion; you MIGHT have to to get insurance but NEVER tell them you did it.  I just went through this to get insurance on my big diesel and after telling them that "all I know it is was converted by a previous owner and all I'm doing is remodeling the interior" I walked out of there with full coverage with a $500 deductible on a former UHaul which I also didn't mention.

After speaking with Got Smart I am now ready to start from the bottom up with the peer system. I can not express enough gratitude to John or believe how lucky I am to have an experienced hand on my side and so close to home. A little sticker shock on some of the wires, but Mrs. bLEEp an I are going to get the important stuff done first, done right, and then move on to the frills.
Enjoy the day everyone!

Props to HDR for the heads up on how to.  Apparently most of my photos are to large to attach so I will have to size down.  Darn new fangled iPhones.....

:)  My oh My what a big house ya'll have.  Miz B has a great smile too!  Looks like you guys will have plenty of room in there.  Are you gonna do a wood stove for heat?  Since I'm older than dirt I envision stained glass and macrame ala 1960's bus conversions.  Sadly since my house folds down for travel I'm dealing with strong velcro and light weight stuff on walls and slanted ceilings for useful and decorative items.

Have fun with it  :D

Wow! Plenty of room for lots of neat stuff, your gonna run out of money quick if you fill that thing up! May I suggest you look at light weight foam with painted on canvas or thin plywood over foam for cabinets and beds, build outs in general as weight will be a concern as well as budget.

loooonnnggggg,but not horribly tall,nice score
