About how many miles do you guys drive every year?
For those of you who have been doing this a while, how many miles have you put on your various vehicles before having to replace them?

We do about 5-6K a year. Thus far, our only replacement was done by choice.
Our van has about 115K and good chance of doubling that if we keep this one that long.
This year we might top out somewhere around 7K, as we are taking more side trips.

I bought a new 2500 chevy 2011 an it has 67000 at present  but going to put about 3000 on it next month.

I put between 3000 and 8000 miles on annually. I travel from the east coast to AZ, NV, CA and back every year. I take secondary highways and backroads most of the time and definitely don't take the most direct route. Once I park for a couple of weeks, I try to stay put.

Wow. To think that my insurance company is fond of telling me that most people drive 12k in a year, but many here are below that.

I think the reason for that is commuting for work. I'm still in a house, which is 19 miles from where I work. That's 9,500 miles a year just for work assuming 5 days a week 50 weeks a year.

5000 MILES-I have three areas that I use as a Home-base. Ehrenberg, AZ...Flagstaff, AZ...Durango, CO. I make side trips from each of these areas.

I average around 10k per year (been doing this two years). I'm in Oregon and Washington during the warm months and mostly Cali during the cold months with short trips to Arizona and Nevada. My Ford cargo van has 185k on it but is in great shape. I'm hoping to get at least 10 more years out of it before it starts costing too much to maintain and think that is realistic and doable.

To be sure. I just find it unendingly ironic that those who live in their vehicle, mostly to travel, tend to put fewer miles on their vehicles than those who only use them for commuting.

I drive to the southwest from New England the past two years and put on 13,600 the first year in Class B and 19,500 the second year in my Prius conversion for much less money

So far this year:
12 miles by box truck, van in tow
7 miles by car(not mine.....)
only ~600 miles by motorcycle. sold late july, because I didn't grow any attachment after owning it for a year(was putting on 1500 miles a month) and my gopro broke as well.
150 miles by bicycle(bought after selling motorcycle)

Having a van that doesn't run really saves on the mile count, being only a mile and a half from the dollar tree, walmart and target cuts down on a lot of miles too.
