As I've gotten older and stiffer, I really can't imagine trying to live out of a car...but here's a young fellow that makes a surprisingly comfortable looking conversion from his Element.

I liked his magnetic attachment of the 50 watt panel...at first glance it'd be easy to say what's wrong with it, but apparently meeting his power needs...

My mom (81) has one of these.  http://www.ursaminorvehicles.com/campers/element-camper.html

She's been camping in her Element for about 15 years and finally decided she was tired of cots and not being able to stand up so she had this installed.  They are in San Diego so the install trip was MD > NC > Southern route to CA then back.

She did 6 weeks in Newfoundland this "Spring" (she still saw snow and freezing temps).  She gave up her fall volunteer camp host gig so she can have her knee replaced.  She says she's looking forward to getting back in a kayak.  No more white water though.

Funny thing is after being raised in the back of Ford van traveling the country she wonders I have such wander lust.

i just upgraded my vehicle from a Saturn Relay to a Toyota Sienna. I was seriously considering, and looked at the Element based on Nate's use of the vehicle. However, the detractor for me is i like to leave my bed set up, and in this vehicle, you just can't unless you are shorter than 5'6". i'm 5'8" and for me to lay straight you have to move the front seat forward. Other than that, it's a roomy little vehicle that won't stand out. I decided to stick with a minivan. Loving my new ride.
