Hi out there. New to all this.

Hey everyone I just found this site and I am really glad.  I am new to all of this in this form. Years ago I hitched around the country for a few years. This is a little different and I am still figuring it out. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks The tinkerer

Start with where you are. What kind of vehicle do you have now? Do you go camping in it? What kind of traveling do you want to do?

Welcome to the forums. Start slow by doing some weekend camping trips to a State park, or local campground where amenities are close by. Use your own car, and slowly figure out what you want, and what you need to be comfortable. Try to fix meals without electric, and only use the items, and supplies that you brought. There is no real need to rush into a bug vehicle, or expensive camping equipment if you aren't ready.

You can also practice in your own back yard, or house where no prying eyes are watching.
