I should have done this 2 years ago, but that is part of my character flaw which also keeps me happily single, and hopefully meeting like minded people will draw me out a little., I have done a little posting and everyone has been so very nice.

I am currently living in Pensacola Fl, and plan to start my new life at end of year, will be giving up my place and spending my time split between the west and east, mostly southeast when on east side, for medical and family reasons.

My main rig will consist of my van, gmc safari and either a homemade 4 x 8 or a runaway, not entirely sure, I have always wanted to live a free lifestyle like this and started too when I finished school and packed my car and split, wound up in New Orleans for 13 years, wow talk about wrong exit LOL

Moved to Pensacola to participate in a family business, and things went pretty good, but started getting itchy feet, started camping a lot and building various types of trailers,  the whole time not realizing the road was calling, so last year made a dicision to wrap things up here and now the more serious preparations are about to begin, already made the announcement that I am done come end of year.  My sister kinda gets it but no one else seems to have a clue, just that I am having some sort of middle age crisis I guess.

Oh, my dear brother  (haha)  is why I call myself the oldogre, almost 30 years ago he told me I should live in a cave because I am such an Ogre, now older that's where the old comes from, makes me laugh because he is a very unhappy person, yet he calls me an ogre, so funny it just stuck.

Anyway can't wait to meet everyone next year when the wheels start turning.

My dog Sadie will be the co pilot, she is a little old to be giving up the creature comforts, but hopefully we both find rejuvination in our travels, will post a pic when we manage to take a decent one.... Dan

Welcome to you and Sadie! I wouldn't worry too much about her giving up some of her creature comforts...she'll be happy as long as she's with you.
