Hello everyone!
Well I finlly decided to put on my big girl pants and speak up here, been hanging on the fringes for months now just reading everything possible. I'm in the process of looking for my new home and, wow! its harder than i thought it would be. Finding the right van around here is tough. I'm not totally new to the aspects of the lifestyle, did almost 2 years of van living after  losing my home at one pont, lived 9 years in a very small cabin on 20 acres (no electricity or running water), and been doing the roadtripping part my whole life. Even spent 2 months one winter in Quartzite visiting  my parents when they  used to winter down there. Loved it there, can't wait to go back!  I'm on my own now and have discovered through all my living situations that the traditional one is really not my thing,  So here goes, flying by the seat of my pants (which is pretty normal for me), i'm jumping in with both feet!  Really glad I've found people who may understand what most people see as my weirdness :)     -Chris

Welcome to the forum Chris!  I'm also from the wet side of WA.  And, I've been wintering in the desert SW.  Consider attending the RTR in Quartzsite in January

Suanne

Thanks Suanne!  I'm really hoping to be able to make to the RTR this year, it will depend on how my van search goes.  Once I have that van, I too will be wintering down that way. I did it once about 12 years ago and loved it, It's been my goal ever since. Almost there...

Thanks everyone, i'm really excited to be here and get to know everone. And hopefully meet many of you on the road. Safe travels to all!

Cool, I'm from the wet and green side too.  What kind of van are you looking for?

I'm on the wet and green side as well, in the Cascade foothills. You are right! Finding a decent van here is a pain. I may pick up a small class C and hang out in that for awhile until I find what I want.
