This is the first time I have tried a project like this. My goal is to make my HHR into a little mini rv, that I can use on weekends. My old car was a pt cruiser, good car but just a bit to short. I now have a HHR. It is a bit longer and the seats fold down flat. The first thing i did was try to decide how I could sleep comfortably. I tried a couple of different air mattresses. They didn't fit right and to be honest I just don't find an air mattress very comfortable. So I have an older couch in my back room and I got the idea to see if could put those cushions inside a sleeping bag. It was a tight fit which worked out good actually. The sleep bag mattress thing fits in the car perfectly and is very comfy. I can also throw it back on the couch and the cushions will still be nice. The next idea I had was to build a small canopy on the top to sit under. So i bought a tarp and a couple of sticky hooks. The hooks are stuck on the top and they hook into the tarp. Next step is recycle some old tent poles for the canopy. Also need to darken the windows and I think ill just get an adjustable curtain rod and black out curtains for the front. ALso would like to figure out a mount for my tablet. My goal is to spend as little cash as possible. So far i have 7 bucks in it.

Very fun project so far and it should save me a few bucks down the road when i start exploring new mountain bike trails. Lots of great info on this site!
