Here I am... ( Wait till they get a load of me...) Movie quote from Jack, luv that guy!

Hi Y'all! Newb here from Middle Tennessee. We got our sweet little Hauler about 3 weeks ago.

She is a 2008 Chevy Express 3500 Extended WB model.
She was used as a medical supply unit, bringing those green Oxygen bottles to the home-bound folks.

We had to spend about $1200 bucks the first day we owned it for new back brakes, a new tire, and lifetime alignment.

Got it gutted now and it looks like the inside of a big beer can!

Second thing we installed was a "Van Tread" floor from the Bed Rug folks. Been doing a lotttt of clean up and hole filling.
Our baby came with those commercial mirrors, but because they were all cloudy and hard to adjust,
we replaced them with normal factory, looking ones. Way better!!!

We are trying to settle on a good insulation sandwich package, and we have lots of ideas and little budget!

I am anxious to get out there and get lost on a back-road in this grand and glorious country of ours! God Bless America!

Dan'l ,Welcome aboard !
There are a few folks here that have built vandwellings ,ask all the questions you want.

Congratulations and welcome to the tribe. Lots of debate about the best insulation. None of them are perfect. On my van I am leaning toward cellulose. I have a van conversion and hate the idea of pulling all the panels off. Maybe just drill some holes, (can be used for lights later), and pumping in cellulose.

Hi and welcome! I am not full timing it yet, but like you I am really looking forward to the first day of "full timing". We all love pics of rigs here...*hint hint*

Hi and welcome to the CRVL forums, Dan'l! Sounds like a great rig. Where do you get a lifetime alignment?

Looking forward to pictures!

Welcome to the forum! I figure with a title like that it's bound to get interesting in here. :)

Welcome to the forum! I spent the last ten months in middle Tn, Mt Juliet to be exact. My daughter just graduated from MTSU this past May and has decided to make Nashville her home.  I love it there. I had a hard time leaving. I still have a lot left to see and do while I am able, so I headed to SC for a few weeks to see more family, before heading to the RTR.  I am sure you will feel right at home here.

THX!

When and where is the next RTR? I assume that is some kinda big gathering of sorts? Are there any links or threads in here about past ones?
I have no idea if or when our baby will be ready for the trips I want to go  will be, but it will be fun winter reading for sure!!!

Looks like a great build! Can't wait to see her come along!
