I have been getting increasingly interested in a full time nomadic life for a while now.
To the point of the ending a relationship with a woman I truly love. We just have different visions of our futures.
I haven't lived a real traditional American life to this point, living three times for extended times off grid in the woods in a self built cabin in Washington and in Montana. I think the transition will not be too difficult.
I'm a couple of years away from retirement and due to living this non traditional way my future will be rather low income. depending on social security for the bulk of my income. I think it will be more than sufficient and am looking forward to preparing for a tribal future.

Welcome early riser, sounds like you been there done that, it's a fairly easy learning curve being wise with the money thing is a very important aspect for the nomadic life style. Stay healthy and be safe.

Welcome to the CRVL forums stillyaakman! This can be a very inexpensive way to live so your social security may be enough to cover all of your expenses plus you're coming into it with a big advantage, having lived off grid. I think this life will suit you very well!

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Hi and welcome to the forum. I'm going through the 2 different futures myself, it happens.

Welcome aboard stillyaakman .
So , are you waiting to retire or pulling the rip cord now !

Thanks,
I am planning to work until the earliest day I can draw SS.
I don't dislike my work or the company I work for which is a plus.
At that point, assuming my health holds up, and all of the other disasters that the gods can dream up to thwart me don't happen, I should be debt free and have my trusty stead picked out ready to hit the trail.
