Hello everyone!  I’ve been lurking a while and recently bought myself a van.  Here’s my overdue self intro.

I’m 59, veteran, worked in several fields, built and lost 3 retirement funds with all the economic downturns, poor decisions and family tragedies.  I’m single, no kids or pets.  Currently working full time in the public sector.   Recent health issues are threatening my livelihood and I’ve realized if the teeter totter tips I will wind up on the streets very quickly.  Like many of you, I discovered Bob Wells while searching for solutions for the impending doom.  I’ve devoured all his material along with many other YouTube creators.  I’ve purchased a 93 Chevy G20, former medical supply delivery van and have begun a basic conversion.  My plan is to stay in my rented sticks and bricks domicile taking trips and practicing city stealth camping while the conversion process happens a bit at a time discovering what works and what doesn’t.  When my lease is up in March 2019, I’ll go stealth full time and work full time until I’ve padded my bank account enough to feel secure.  I hope to hit the road less than 12 months from now.  I have a plan for periodic work to provide support until I reach full social security eligibility, or I cross the rainbow bridge.

I suspect that once I start my nomadic life, the odds for longevity will greatly increase!
