Hi, I am Jenny, my husband is Chuck. We are both 53 and frankly just sick of the daily grind. We were on vacation recently and realized how good we felt, how well we slept and were generally just much happier. We are in the planning stages of how this can work. We still have one kiddo left at home who is almost 13. We have a lot of stuff to work out. I think it is feasible to do. I am an Accountant so I envision doing a lot of temp work and our budget is pretty open. Chuck is dinosaur programmer and just about at the end of his productive work life in his field. But he may potentially be able to do some contracting work as well.

We are looking at doing this by selling our home and living off the equity for a while. We can roadschool our kiddo, who's totally on board with this. But as I said, it's just dreams in our heads for now.

Looking forward to reading your stories.

Welcome Jenny! Lot of good people here with tons of experience so I'm sure you'll find everything that you want to know.

Not only can it be done, it's being done by many of us here. Having a child makes it a little more complicated, but it sounds like you've already got that mostly figured out. I can't imagine a better childhood than living in an RV and going around to see, touch and taste the the history and science you're reading and learning about.

I's my own little pet obsession, but there is a lot of science out now that says humans NEED a connection to nature and without it we greatly suffer. You will all be greatly enriched by it in the mobile life.
