Hello all -

We're a family of three; husband, wife and two year old daughter planning on going full time this summer. Our rig is a converted 4x4 1988 Ford E-350 XL Club Wagon, affectionately named Guf, that we've spent a lot of time in camping all over the Pacific Northwest.

Our motivation for making the transition to full time van dwelling is twofold; we feel strongly about using less of the world's resources and we place a high value on time and experiences together as a family.

We'll be taking off for a month long road trip to AZ in Jan/Feb as a test run of sorts to help iron out some details of living in Guf full time. We're planning on meeting up for the RTR (though we'll be a few days late), making a quick trip to Los Algodones for some dental work, and visiting with family near Reno.

Looking forward to meeting some like-minded individuals and sharing in the wealth of knowledge of the forum!

Side Note - Can't seem to figure out why our avatar photo insists on loading upside down despite trying to load from several devices, any suggestions there would be appreciated...

Welcome to the forum. You could try rotating the picture before you load it. Flip it first if it insist on flipping it.

Welcome to the forum! I have family in Reno as well. I was thinking of heading that way after the RTR. I am in a class C, so I am unsure if I can make it there if there is winter weather. Safe travels. Hope to meet you at the RTR.

So ironic, I am from Western Washington too and just today I purchased a 1995 Ford E-350 XL Club Wagon to take me and my tent trailer south. I look forward to seeing you at the RTR!
