Hello from Las Vegas!

Hello! Hello! I've been in research mode over the last month or so as I prepare myself to a whole new world. I'm yet to get my 5er delivered sometime this month. I'm super excited! It will take me atleast couple months before I'll take it out on mini vacations and probably couple years before I go full time. I'd like to get to a point where I take care of my student loan first and also pay off my 5er before I go full time. By then, there will be less stress in having the need to work and earn the kind of money I make now. I'd like to simplify my life and I'm so ready to complete chapter one of this new beginning and start enjoying new adventures.

I'll be on a private lot with hookups as I get myself organized and situated. I'll continue with my corporate life and slowly make some changes and start the process of working remotely. As I continue with my corporate life, I will also continue doing my research on how I can ease my way into life on wheels and make it as easy transition possible.

So far, everyone I met and talked to both online and offline were all nice and friendly. I haven't met anyone who isn't and they all are so willing to help and very supportive. I look forward to this change in my life and enjoy the rest of it!

My son lives just east of Vegas, so I spend a good portion of the year in that area. It's not a bad place to hang out while you get ready for the full-time life.

Wow, what a beauty that 5er is, it's gorgeous! And 5 slides!! I think you have a very good plan! You can live very comfortably while you are are finishing your life in the rat race and then super well on the road.

Thank you for your post, Cyndi. I'll look into the links. Everyday since I got this 5er bug, I read and read some more! I've done a lot of research but yet to truly say I scratched the surface as there's so much more to learn. Somehow, even though this whole thing is totally foreign to me, I have no fear at all whatsoever. I'm very excited and looking forward to a whole new world.

Thank you so much, akrvbob! I'm in management and also have my MBA. I looked at various sites specific to location-independent jobs. I hope I find my calling soon like others did. I thought of teaching online classes, anything project or program management, consulting, organizing, or helping others who are not as technology savvy. I also enjoy cooking light and healthy meals, photography, and cycling. Glad to be here.
