Hi! I just joined the forum and am fascinated with the idea of people living in RVs. It has been a dream of mine to winter in Arizona, where I have lived for the last 20 years, and travel all summer. One major set back is that I don't drive. I have income and can support myself very well. If anyone would like a travel companion, I am available! Minimalist who doesn't smoke, drink, or do drugs. No mental health issues and no pets. My beautiful little Chihuahua, Jackie, passed away two years ago after 17 years of bringing me happiness.

Welcome to the CRVL forums az.holly! Not driving makes this lifestyle hard to achieve. Most of us are very independent and tend to be loners so it would be difficult to share a van or RV with another person. I hope you find a way to achieve your dream - perhaps by hiring a driver?

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

Thanks for the welcome. I was thinking most are loners but you never know, maybe someone wants a companion!

If you have a physical impediment that would prevent you from driving it is certainly understandable why you don't drive.

If you have simply never learned to drive because you always had someone around to do the driving I can understand that. I myself am very happy to turn the wheel over to my friend when running errands in city traffic or when traveling. But of course I also like being able to go where I want to when I want to without waiting around someone else to find the time in their schedule. That of course is the reason I took the time to learn how to drive.

There are quite a few women around who did not learn to drive until they were in their 40s, 50s or 60s. If you can physically do it then just give it a try.

If I win a mega billions lottery I am for sure getting a chauffeur, or two :)

I drove all my adult life until a physical impairment worsened with age and driving became too dangerous. Been relying on public transportation and two great sons to cart me around. I also walk, walk, and walk some more! Yes, when I win the lottery, a paid driver is the first thing I am getting>
