Hello van people!

I have been wanting to convert a van for awhile now so and super happy I found this site!

Just want to say thank you to all of you for putting up this great info!

Hi vanbytheriverguy, yeah def a lot of great info\people here. Best of luck in all your adventures.

Welcome to the CRVL Forums   :)

You've arrived in Heaven !   LOL   There is more info here than you'll ever believe that could exist.

First, you may want to think about your present needs and what it would like to meet them.  Are you going to
Day trip & Weekend Camp ?  Or go on the road for some time and travel ?  The Van/RV rig you'll need will hinge on that answer.   Even the choice of Van, it's mileage, cost etc....is it a first experience vehicle for learning on the short term until later when you are ready for something bigger ?

A used good condition Van that is solid but not the best looking can be quickly outfitted inexpensively for a lot of fun and learning.  Covering it's floor with thin plywood & carpet,  building a bed frame and setting up a comfortable sleeping area, and then building a simple kitchenette cabinet would have you nearly ready to go
with a Day Tripper/weekender.   Other things you could find in spring yard sales and flea markets.

I'll invite you to check out the links below which will show you how to do it.   The link at the bottom is a portal of information that would be helpful in learning how to  go about using your first Van/RV.   It would also be handy once you are on the road.  Think of it as a Swiss Army Knife of handy information.

Welcome vanbytheriverguy,

Have you decided on a vehicle yet?  Took me about a year to finally make up my mind.  Lots of choices to wade through.  I've definitely got lots of helpful info here.  Good travels to you.
