Hey van-dwelling elders!
just introducing myself to you all before I beat your patience senseless with a volley of stupid questions haha,
I'm an Oregon resident, about to end his lease in a month or so and adopt his dream lifestyle of stealth camping through to the end
of the autumn of 2019, ive wanted to do this for about two years but fear and laziness has held me back until now.
I have limited funds and I'm short on time, but I got a lot of creativity and hopefully those of you friendlies out there will have some ideas
and tips to send my way.
I don't have a van yet, ill be getting one next month, fortunately if I get my dreamvan but have to rough it for a bit before making modifications I have enough camping and survival gear to get by (though uncomfortably)
as I make upgrades should the circumstances warrant it, it'll be kind of an improve as you go type situation haha.
I'm looking at trying to get my hands on standard size 70s dodge van as I have some experience with the small-block Mopar LA v8s that come in them standard, I'm pretty handy automotive-wise so that much I'm not too concerned over.
mostly I'm on here for two reasons, brainstorming ideas for my vans conversion process, and getting to know fellow sane-maniacs who appreciate the freedom of van life and are commited to overcoming its trials and tribulations with a positive outlook.
I'm an artist and a writer and all I need is a place where I can create at the end of the day before getting some sleep, somewhere I can cook a quick breakfast and take out to the boons occasionally, not too big on screens or electronics.
I'm excited to learn from you all
Cheers!
Oliver
