Hello everyone,
I have my new Dickinson Marine 12000 fireplace installed in my Airstream. I will give a update on how well it heats in a few weeks.

Do you have photos of your install? That sounds interesting

Hi Cammalu,
Yes, I did video the install. I hope to have it ready soon. I need to edit the cussing out.

I would like the say thanks to gsfish for putting the link up for the Dickinson marine fireplace. If anyone takes a look at the link the prices are cheaper if you go through a dealer.

one thousand bucks...whoa...

Facts are that to be warm SAFELY costs $$'s.

Sure you can use any manner of inexpensive portable propane, open flame, Candles, flower pots or what have you VooDoo, but there are risks you assume and very real ventilation concerns.

Ah, but this IS my soap box isn't it?  :shy:

I have the P12000 in my Kurbmaster I thought I was buying the P9000 which would have been sufficient for my space, I bought it used and unfortunately Dickenson use the same sticker on both stoves, the vendor didn't know. One is a little bigger then the other. I think this one has been in my van since 2012 maybe 2011, no issues, very well built, I installed a diesel version many years ago on a sailboat it also worked flawlessly and was much cheaper to run then the propane one. I use about 1 pound every seven hours on low. It's good looks make it a feature along with the romance of a visible flame. They heat up quickly, the fan is a bit noisy but it is varialble speed and on low you can shut it off if you like. It is not thermostically controlled so it is either on or off, hi or low. When it gets too hot you have to turn it off, I don't sleep with mine on as I am leary of propane however it is easy to light and warms the place in minutes so not a problem in the morning. I am sure you will like yours they are a quality units and will give many years of service. This is my set upIMG_3412.jpeg
