been there done that.  I don't know about the health benefits,  did mine out of necessity.  I really didn't study your links real close,  but did notice allot of could, might, seems to, and the like.  we must remember when a scientific study uses these words nothing has been proved,  it's only a guess.  you have to be real careful with scientific studies these days.  just saying.  who knows it might be the best thing you could do for yourself I do not know.  see I just did it , used the word might because I don't know.  highdesertranger

Vasoconstriction = increased blood pressure.
Increased blood pressure = increased risk for heart attack or stroke.
Vasoconstriction also decreases blood flow in the smaller vessels, like in frost bite.
Those who already have vascular disease risk losing fingers, toes, or more.
And for diabetics, not a good thing!

I'll pass, thanks anyway.

As for me, I'll take a good, ole hot shower any day over a cold one. Went to the great hot springs for a private soak at the Salida spa today. The tiled soaking tubs were clean and the water was super hot, but you could mix in some cold. I followed this by a "cool" shower, and went back to the rig and slept like a baby.

Cold shower might come in handy if a lesbian 'naturalist' club decides to do some frolicking in the particular lake I'm camping beside. Just sayin'..  ..Willy.
