Well, not yet. I am probably a year out from hitting the road. I have a house to sell and I have a 16yo furry companion in very poor health who would not be able to make any trips. Trying to make sure his last days are as comfortable as possible. But I've been saying that for a year now :)

I have a 1993 Ford e150 Coachman that I am renovating to meet my needs. Thanks for the forum, Bob. I have already learned so much from your YouTube channel. I'll mostly be sitting back soaking it all in rather than posting a lot.

I am a gypsy by the way. My great great grandfather was a Romani stow away from Europe in  the mid 1800s. Chitza is my gypsy name.

Hi Chitza. Don't sit back to much, lol. I would be very interested in hearing about you and yours. My life is pretty tame and I enjoy living vicariously through others and their stories. Welcome to the forum!

Welcome Chitza to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you. highdesertranger

Thanks, Highdesert. I will check that out.
And Bryan, I'll give a little more info...
I will be figuring out how to haul way too many two wheeled vehicles behind that Coachman. My materialism is only a problem in my garage

Welcome, Chitza!

I can't tell you where to find the exact threads, but I know there have been a few discussions in recent months on various ways to haul two-wheeled vehicles. You are not alone on this forum with that obsession.

Hello and welcome!!

For me, I'd skip the Beemer and bring the Yamaha, mo fun in the desert!

Cool about the Romani history, knew a bunch of Romani kids when I lived in Italy back in the late 60's early 70's.

Well, Queen, the problem is, that's only a small portion of my stable. I have a bike for every day of the week. It's a horrible obsession. I also have a 1966 Honda ct200, which is a great little dirt rider and grocery runner. The BMW is for adventure touring(pic is on the Denali Hwy on a trip from Alabama to Alaska) and that's my favorite kind of ride. But choosing which bikes to bring for practicality and pleasure is difficult. I do my own repairs so that means tools. I may just need a support vehicle lol

I hear you, I had five or more at any given time, and hundreds over 40+ years of riding.  It's hard to chose for sure, but unless you have a 40 foot trailer to set up and haul your stable, travel is going to be rough.   :p

Find a cargo trailer that your van can comfortably haul with your selection of bikes and tools and store the rest if you must.

That's the plan, Dune. And in reality, I will sell most of them and bring one, maybe two, to use for pleasure and commuting. I have been in my profession(occupational therapy) for 34years. I can do a 3 month travel assignment once a year and travel the rest. I will need something to get to and from work. I'm pretty sure the ct will be one of my choices. I can throw it inside the van if necessary.
