Hey everyone. I'm Brandon. Wondering if there are any vandweller camps around? Community/Tribe is always nice. Though I'm pretty content with windy desert life also. Is it Always windy? Any connections around here are welcome.

Greetings Brandon, I am also new to this forum but not to the Quartszite area. This wind has only picked up the last week or so, I hope it settles down too.

Hey BildrRick, Thanks for responding. Good to know the wind won't be lasting forever. Have you ever mined here?

Not yet though I want to. I have read that it may be necessary to obtain a mining permit first... I am planning on joining the Quartszite group soon.

Welcome PsychicSojorns to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips & Tricks" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

I will be at RTR and will give a seminar on prospect/mining, I think. I haven't heard of the seminar schedule yet. if there is not going to be a seminar just stop by and talk to me, hell stop by anyways. I will give you the low down on prospecting. highdesertranger

Thanks. I'll probably be around for the RTR. When do people start arriving for that usually? Know of any ancient sites around here?

Are you in Quartzsite? There are a bunch of vandwellers gathering at Ehrenberg (west on I-10) now.  Here's Bob's blog post from last year - http://www.cheaprvliving.com/boondo...g-in-ehrenberg-2015-living-in-a-van-off-grid/
Scroll down until you come to the map. The vans and RVs that you'll find parked there now should belong forum members. Most will probably be inside their rigs staying warm so you'll have to take some initiative to meet people.
