Greetings to all, where to start, well I am a 63 year old male, as my user name shows my name is Rodney. I am a strong believer and follower of Yeshua Hamashiach (means Jesus the Messiah) as known as "The Way", I am currently traveling from place to place by way of the shoe leather express. I get my room and board through whats called work/trade, I haven’t worked for money for three years now. What I am interested in is finding a like minded RV traveler who is looking for a companion to travel with and share the gospels, (Good News) where ever Yehovah (God) leads. I have many skills which include mechanical, and technical, gained form 25 years as an auto mechanic and 15 years owning and operating a computer repair business. I am willing to barter my talents to support my share in a partnership agreement. I can keep any vehicle running and fix anything that can be fixed. I am looking to get on the road in the early spring, my current location is central Vermont. Thanks,

Yehovah’s blessings,

Rodney

Welcome to the CRVL forums! To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started.

Most of our rules boil down to two simple over-riding principles: 1) What you post should provide good information (like your introductory post), and 2) Any response to someone else's post should make them feel glad they are part of this forum community.

We look forward to hearing more from you.

Welcome to the form Rodney. With those kind of skills you can find lots of work in our community. And being willing to barter will help in our community to cause many of us just don’t have the resources. Vermont is cold I hope you find a way to thrive in it. I am from PA which is too cold and so I’m in Florida now. I have to say that to myself every once in a while just to realize how lucky I am. Anyway welcome to the forum I hope you find what you’re looking for here.

Thank you, I am settled in for the long winter, looking to get out when spring hits.

I wish you luck in finding that special companion who shares your ideals, but also their living quarters. Is the "shoe leather express" by choice, or by necessity ?

Shoe leather express is by choice, I sold most everything I owned got out of debt and started this life of barter and work/trade, I have had no need for money for the past 3 years because I have no bills.  So the last thing in my life to go was my truck, now I have no expenses, I don't even have a cell phone.  The places I do work/trade for provide my needs as to food, bed and internet access.  It's not a bad life, but now I feel a different calling thus looking to get out on the road.  Time will tell where this next chapter of my life leads me.
