I consider Nomad's homes to be home. I thought that those of us who browse this forum were all in agreement of that. Distancing oneself from negative thoughts/feelings has nothing to do with distancing ourselves from those we could come to the aid of if we so choose. It's all about keeping ourselves in balance. The unemployed, homeless, depressed and sick with various health issues are often our nomadic nieighbors. Of course those issues are generating negativity in their lives, how could they not? Distancing yourself is one choice, lending aid when you can is another choice. Which choice will create the most negativity? The persons or animals who are suffering those things on the list will be the ones to give you gratitude if you offer help or sometimes just kind words when you choose not to distance yourself from them.
And not just at Thanksgiving....The original post is about distancing from one's own negative thinking about one's own situation.
Be grateful for what you do have in life.
