So my husband & I decided at the end of our honeymoon 'screw waiting until next year, let's just do this thing'. We're giving away pretty much everything we own so we can move into the van at the end of August

I'm a HUGE fan of tea, I had over 100 types. I've got 16 plastic containers to keep tea in for when we're on the road, & other than that, I gave away every type of tea I had. I thought it would be harder than it actually was, but I had a harder time getting rid of some of my clothes than I did getting rid of my teas.

We still have a LOT of stuff to get rid of, but we're going to end up just donating anything that people don't lay claim to.

I'm surprisingly not all that nervous. I'm a little worried, because we'll be spending the winter in Ontario, but overall I'm holding together pretty well. Although I'm also not that excited, but I'd rather be like this than a bundle of emotions, because there's a LOT to do still & I can't afford to be shut down by my anxiety.

okay. young and enthusiasm will get you far. please be smart and look into (google search) full time van in canada. its tough in cold. good idea about getting rid of stuff. have too much myself.

Good for you! Not sure I'd stay 'up north' over the winter, but even so, it'll be an interesting time for you. Keep us posted!

Offroad - a) I'm not THAT young.
b) I've already done a LOT of research into how to live in a van in winter (my original plan was to go to BC, but I did look into other options just in case).
Please don't assume that just because I'm not as experienced as you that I'm irresponsible.

I think you will be just Fine!

parking out of the wind is the 1st thing to learn, also might want to get a 100lb propane tank to keep he heater working, yes bigger but you will save a ton of money using it over the small 20 lb tanks.

Any other questions, shoot me an email, or better yet, stop by on your way by one day to St. Jacobs or somewhere
