Getting ready to make the leap

I'm currently planning my escape, still in planning phase.  Biggest question for me is how to make money on the road :|

I also wonder if being LGBT would be an issue?  

Also living on the road with my cat, I guess it should be ok but curious what others have experienced.

maybe I should have gone into more detail

I'm an engineer with a BSEE & MSEE & MBA - with a healthy savings and 401k, I have 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, have lived in Germany.  I've always have been a wanderer, just thought I liked to move a lot but after watching the video I guess I've been a wanderer trying to live a normal life.  I should have skills that I could do anywhere, but in the last year of searching I haven't found anything that I can do remotely.

Hoping someone here can give some advice.

Dunno about the work part, but as far as being LGBTQA+, it's about the same as anywhere else....except that if you don't feel welcome somewhere, or for that matter don't like the weather, there is zero penalty to simply mounting up and riding wherever you'd like to go next. I personally do not fit into anyone's little boxes and have always felt like the proverbial square peg. I hit the road 3 1/2 years ago and have found the ability to adjust my external environment to suit my internal comfort to be both liberating and beneficial.

I do copywriting/blog writing for an income. Probably can't tell from all the typos when on my smartphone, but that's what I do. In fact, I used to visit my dad and sisters and stayed for more than two months and still earned money.
