Pardon me for stating what seems obvious to me.
You are a welder, and, from what I gather from other posts and the pay you get, you must be good one. You have a highly marketable skill.
My suggestion is for you to look for welding jobs in the areas you want to go. I am sure you can find work and with the pay scale of a welder, you can probably work part-time or for a few weeks or maybe months and have enough to bankroll yourself for a good period of time.
