DH just bought me a pricey Wingard self-locating antenna for the DirecTV. We had agreed that it was too big an investment. But he has never been able to get the manual one on the tripod aimed right. He says he just couldn't stand to have me deprived of my favorite programs, altho I was not aware that I was pining for them that much. I still can't get the local Florida channel that I liked, but he is happily planted in front of the Rays game and looking forward to the Lightening games (which he could not get before) and he is feeling like Daddy Warbucks..

Very nice gift he bought you for himself :D

We got the long range digital antenna we wanted in Quartzsite ($70 out the door). Margie wanted TV and I sorta watch it when its on...I'm not into TV sports. In Q we got 20 channels out of Phoenix that we watched, not counting the junk like shopping and 24/7 weather.
Here we get Phoenix and 14 in Tucson, some repeats. Plenty to stare at.

Hope you get your turn on the remote after the games.
Good luck :D

DH is into sports. It was killing him that the Lightening are in the playoffs and he was going to miss them. Not complaining, he deserves a treat. But this better be the last treat this size for the rest of the year. Another hit like this and we'll be foraging for nuts and berries until December.

I couldn't say who the Lightening is or who plays 1st base :D
That's how much sports I watch.
I like playing baseball, and shooting hoops for fun, but no lungs for much action anymore.

Know what you mean about nuts and berries. Those bucks only stretch just so far and a year throw some hits crazy hits at any of us.
Yet, there's some things that are just plain nice that we enjoy. I think that's important too, up to a point. I know you are well aware of where that point is for y'all.
So, enjoy.
