I deleted this post because it's a How-To Steal new-release movies. I am totally opposed to this and deleted any other posts that seemed to be teaching how to do it.

You may disagree and think stealing other peoples intellectual property is fine--what you do in your life is up to you and I have nothing to say about it, but it's my forum and it won't be promoted here.

I stream using movie4k to find the movie and streaming service. Lots of pop ups to ignore, once you do it for a while you get use to spotting how to get the movies to play without clicking any ads.
I also record Netflix or youtube to my hard drive using a program called OBS so I can watch them later when I have no Internet.

I frequently use cbs.com to watch recent episodes of their shows (NCIS, CSI, etc.). Javascript required, they have ads, and you need reasonable bandwidth. With less reliable cell internet, sometimes things pause and it may give up playing if the ads don't load fast enough. (but it sometimes skips some ads due to slow speed as well) They have a pay version where you can watch the whole season to date, but I don't know how much that costs.

The first-run movie sites are bootlegs, as are many older movie and tv sites.

I use hulu and youtube movies and amazon prime

akrvbob asked,

So is he getting new release Movies free and other movies without paying for them ?

YES !

I helped him get started a few years back with a ROKU box and within a few months he was wanting to
sell it and just use his computer and some of those sites I posted.

He was watching that new Movie "Jurassic World" when I was there today and it hasn't even opened at the
theaters here.

Minimotos95,  He sounds a lot like you. Sounds like you've figured it out how to work it like he does too.

I'll tell him about OBS program the next time I see him. ( I just looked at it )

You can see most movies fairly quickly but it's usually a pretty poor quality copy and as mentioned, lots of pop ups. You can also watch most pro sports.

If he is seeing a movie that is just opening or is not yet released in theaters... it IS bootlegged. Illegally obtained.. that is just common sense.

A lot of people know how to "steal" cable programming, too, but most do not do it. Because it IS stealing. The thieves who stole Jurassic World make money from the ads, and they get the ads because people like your friend come to their site.

To anyone who has ever produced any copyrighted material, this is irksome to say the least.

I use Netflix, Hulu, and Crackle for TV and movies (Hulu has the current series, Netflix the prior seasons). Netflix has no ads for movies and series. Hulu has ads for most series, but not generally for movies. These are the paid versions, not the freebies though. Crackle gives me trouble with quirky streaming often. Maybe my DSL just isn't fast enough for them? Have watched some programs via Youtube, but video quality was lacking.
Generally downloading video via someone else's Wifi is considered rude, and slows the system.
