florida newcomer here

hi all, i'm pbjane a retired, recreational minivan camper in florida interested in spending more time on the road.  i'll def make it over to the west coast one day but wondering if there are any tribes similar to bobs in my neck of the woods???

Welcome to the CRVL forums pbjane! I think we have a few members who spend the winter in Florida but nobody organizes formal get-together. Try posting an invitation in the Gatherings section for a meetup at your favorite camp spot.

To help you learn the ins and outs of these forums, this "Tips, Tricks and Rules" post lists some helpful information to get you started. We look forward to hearing more from you.

I'm a Floridite too--or at least I was until I hit the road fulltime.

Most of the folks in this forum are westerners (southwest, mostly). We easterners are a distinct minority here.

I am also a Florida minivandweller....but not full time yet, just weekends and road trips. I have no interest in the desert, so will stay east of the Mississippie, with summers along the US/Canadian border and winters in FL when I retire in 2023. I may eventually get to NewFoundland and out to the PNW, though.

Are you on fb? There a wandering SE group of assorted mobile dwellers that gather all over FL throughout the winter.

I haven't seen any recent posts but any messages I've sent have always been answered fairly quickly
