I've spent a bit of time researching this subject as it isn't well-known or understood. Microwave transmissions -- WiFi -- can be harmful to your health.

Microwaves are blocked or disipated by metals or metal screening.
There are fabrics that are made explicitly for this purpose for those who work in industries that require protection.

Ways of addressing this:
placing a metal screen between you and the source
building a Faraday cage (metal sheet or screens, similar to a microwave oven) which must be continuous.
wearing a tin foil hat, believe it or not
placing a metal mesh trash can over your house's electrical meter
And
this is an internet antenna that can be placed outside of your vehicle and distant enough to provide some protection from the microwaves

even the electromagnetic radiation from the 110-220v 60hz AC grid power can cause health problems. another good reason for the mobile lifestyle, stay away from grid power, 12v DC is much safer.

There is a very slight bit of data that indicates using your cell phone against your head could cause problems. Best to use a hands free device. There is no credible research showing harm from other electromagnetic forces.

Microwave radiation is a known problem.

What is said in this presentation (long video but very informative) is ---
(from memory)
----- the publicity campaign disclaiming adverse effects is based on two INDUSTRY studies while there are many studies proving the harm
-----India has outlawed wifi towers within 100 meters of schools and prisons -- and also zoos
(in our country they put them in classrooms) -- baby monitors are based on microwave technology
----- European countries are limiting wifi towers to one every 300 meters
----- (some countries have NEVER allowed microwave ovens)
----- DNA is a spiral, and acts as a receptor, repeated exposure can alter it -- twins develop differing DNA profiles after long-term exposure
----- if you use a cell phone in a car it bounces around inside the metal cage and amplifies the effects
-----
wifi effects your ability to concentrate and think clearly, gives you headaches, and symptoms similar to Lyme disease -- it affects your hormones -- it causes low sperm count, and viable sperm do not swim well -- it causes the same symptoms as "attention deficit syndrome" in children --

Very informative presentation -- some scientists are calling cell phones and microwave technology worse than the DDT environmental disaster -- affecting all forms of living organisms... plants, animals, humans, perhaps even the planet

Willy, regular Reynolds wrap works well, for some reason Alcoa does not. There is some debate about the non stick types. What ever you chose, there must be a wire grounding to earth. A iron or copper water pipe or the wide socket on the wall plug.

Well, you could line a hat with metal screening, and then line that with fabric. I'm thinking that I will get an EMF meter and use that to decide where I stay for long periods of time. There is a caution that you are more vulnerable at night while you sleep, so one would turn off all transmitting appliances or cover them with foil at night. The seal must be complete... no cracks.

I intend to get a wifi antenna that I can place outside of my van, and I will build a metal screen on the underside of it, so that all the microwaves aim outward away from me. Some people say this needs a grounding wire to dispel the static charge off of it.

Basically, the idea is to be aware of these things and resolve the issues. Metals block the waves, including metal screening... and so keeping metal between me and the EMFs is just a matter of problem solving.

Here's what one guy did to deal with his radiating Smart Meter:

Here's a guy who solved his cars EMFs

Here's a list of things you can do to "dispel" your bodies static accumulated charge.

Wear 'corked' boots/shoes (metal cleats) with a grounding wire going from the cap, down both legs to one (or more) cleats per shoe. ..Willy.

could I use braided steel fishing line on my old zebco fishing reel to make a retractable ground to attach to my tin hat ......this would give me more distance of leisure travel outside....was also thinking of picking up some aluminum sulfate sunscreen just in case

Titanium dioxide sunscreen might provide more overall protection with the titanium blocking more rays. The grounding doesn't need to be affixed, just think of the old dirigibles with the dangling conductors used to discharge static electricity when they brushed the ground. ..Willy.

Big lol, guys. ;)

For real... you can "ground" yourself by walking barefoot -- or by hugging a tree -- or by washing your hands -- or hanging around waterfalls. All true. Waterfalls remove negative ions from the air.

Yeah, and end up with 1/2 pound of hot, bacteria laden chewing gum stuck to the bottom of your feet. That, or someone coughs up a lunger fulla tar and rancid mucous and.. feel it slidin' between yer toes. No thanks. ..Willy.

Really, darlin -- rake or sweep your campsite before using -- wear boots in the grass -- bury your human waste 8-10 inches if you absolutely must -- and quit trying to troll me. All good advice.

I prefer to just wear my tinfoil hat and wait on the aliens to come back and pick me up in Exeter NH..(Google aliens Exeter NH)

Got my roll of foil right handy. Steel fishing line for long range tree hugging, check. Mesh trash can, check. Pump on and washing hands, doing that now.
Hey Willy, I'll make you a pair of special copper flip flops so you'll be grounded too :D

When I hear "darlin" used that way I think about the Southern belles, girls who say, "that's vaary nice"...translation, F*&# off :dodgy:

I'm sorry, but I'm more into enjoying the life I have and not finding ways to avoid something that will likely not ever happen if I live another 67 years.
When its my time to get zapped from this earth there isn't much I can do about it. I'm sure not going to walk around with foil on my head looking like some freakin nutcase....eventho I am one.

Well I guess I'll have to rethink your gift Jay :( I just folded you up a nice tin hat with a matching one for Bindi.......

Well, maybe we could start a new fad. Bindi, being a minpin has long legs in back....might need to fit one back there too, with a properly placed hole in it, of course.

Why not kill 2 birds with one stone and, at the top of yer tinfoil hat, shape a parabolic reflector and, especially on a sunny day, roast up something like a Bavarian smokie? Y'know, it's kinda like those baseball caps with the beer holder(s) and straw, but better. ..Willy.
