You can heat it up and just eat the what's in the bag, but it's a lot better with rice or pasta. You can even use the ramen noodles that are quick to cook. My favorite is Vegetable Tikka Masala, followed by the Madras Lentils.

I've been asked about the calories excetera when posting packets like these, so here's a few bits of info. Calories is 130, total fat is 5g, saturated fat is 1g and trans fat is 0. Vegetarian and gluten-free, but of course you can always add meat or seafood if you like. I recommend something light and in small amounts. The sauce packet is super flavorful so you honestly don't need to doctor it.

Tasty Bites Indian food pouches. Each pouch has sauce, herbs, spices and small cut things like lentils or beans rice etc. They're really easy to use. supposedly you can just put the pouch and water but I've never tried it. I've always open the pouch up and poured over rice or noodles In the pot. Simmered for about a minute or two longer or put the lid on the pot and turn the heat off. This warms the sauce packet up.

Sounds good to me, I may have to look for this next trip to the grocery.

I love rice (basmati) and noodles with any meal.

Mmmmm, Tasty Bites! I have literally lived on the stuff for years. I'm off it now, but for several years a pouch of some kind of dal over basmati rice with a dollop of mango chutney and another of hot lime pickle...and ghee, which I make myself.....and it's even kosher!

I haven't had mango chutney for ages. That sounds so good! Now, I'm going to have to pick some up. [emoji171]
