I live in the Tri-State of Ohio, Kentucky, and West Virginia.   I'm about a 150 mile drive south of Columbus, Ohio......about the same east of Lexington, KY.....200 or so miles north of Johnson City, TN......290 miles west of Harrisonburg, VA.....270 miles south west of Pittsburgh, PA......and 270 miles north west of Winston Salem, NC.  Otherwise,  the heart of Appalachia.   :at:  in the middle of nowhere and a three hour drive from anywhere.

I live on the edge of the Wayne National Forest on the edge of the Ohio River.

North Eastern Maryland here. Not on the road yet but once I get more settled in and know a few people I might not mind some decent folk taking up a parking spot (the really big boys probably wouldn't make the turn in though) for a night or two now and again (I'm a bit distant with people sometimes so it's a trust thing first and foremost, I've been burned before so...). Been having occasional backyard "drive-in" nights here now and again for friends so what's a few more faces at that point maybe.

Edit: Side note I'm no expert but I also know which end of a wrench to point at the bolt and not to lick the red wire so in the event that someone has a minor issue in the area I might be able to help out.

OK, here goes. I live in NC. My first post e-v-e-r on this website.  Have no idea what I'm doing but I would love to connect to others in the east who have been RV living.  I have been homebound as caregiver for 5+ years, but now that my sweet husband is safe in the arms of Jesus (as of 1/2021) I made my first road trip to Idaho this summer to visit my son, then on to Illinois to visit my sister and now I'm back in NC, but would like to go someplace warm for the winter in a place where I can join a "group" of travelers.

Would prefer to stay away from FL and CA.  I have an extended (limited conversion) high top cargo van. Electricity is a must, sense I don't have solar and don't know the first thing in setting that up (but would love to know how if anyone is willing to help me.... hint hint).

Any suggestions to groups or ways to go about finding such a group would be much appreciated!
Sherry

Welcome!

There is also a thread "calling all nomads in the East". We plan to gather starting Nov 21 in Northern Fl. However, we will be in dispersed camping areas for the most part meaning no hookups. Solar or generator if you need power. If you are interested I will be happy to send you the location info
