Just thought I would start a new thread for all in the East Coast wishing to connect with others on this side of the US.

I'm east but not on the coast, Does Ohio count?

I’ll clarify... I actually meant everyone east of the Mississippi in the U.S... both northern and southern states.

The Mississippi river has always defined the east from the west as far back as I can remember.

Another from Ohio, but mostly a weekend warrior hitting up many State Parks.

Speaking of "quips", those of us in the real west consider Denver to be the dividing line anymore. So that puts TX in the ... south, lol.

Well.. at least at the southern end of of it...

I dont think anyone who is born and bred in the West thinks of Iowa or Mn. as the West.

The Missouri river is the dividing line and once you cross it..there is no doubt that you are indeed in the West.

Ideally we could just build a wall from the Dakotas on down to the Gulf...

We just have to make sure Sofi is brought over before the final brick is placed.

Thanks from Florida...or is that another subset, LOL.

Nature lover from Pennsylvania checking in here. I’m into keeping connected with Full-timing since June 1 and I’m sticking around home because of medical problems and building adjustments. For now I’m at a friends house sleeping in the van in the yard but having access to the house AC right now that’s pretty neat. Since it’s about 97° yesterday real feel 100. It’s the humidity that kills us here. Planning on being in East Kentucky in a few weeks although I’ve been planning that for a few months. Then home for a bit and Florida in December. Keep me up on any East Coast development please I’ll keep looking. God bless all the nomads

Hello from Alabama. Just got my home 2 weeks ago and now working on it (modifying a pop up camper to be simpler and lighter, a 1988 Coleman Williamsburg). For the next year or so, I'm going to be using my parent's property in mid Alabama as a home base while I transition into this lifestyle fulltime. Mainly using the home base to help maintain my access to disability income (I'm deaf) until I have it all sorted out. I'm honestly planning to spend most of my time in the west though (Hate the humidity here lol) but until I can do that, I definitely would be exploring the southeastern sites and whatnot. Found a facebook group for a 'deep south' caravan so I'm joining it to pick up details on where's good sites to boondock and whatnot around here.

I live in my van while I work in the Northeast, around central Connecticut. I am not working right now due to Covid19 so I am in Texas for the duration but expect to return to work in July 2021.

I drive my van (Ram Promaster 3500) to work during the day and find a place to park it at night. The most recent favorite spot is the Mohegan Sun Casino as they have free RV parking (no hookups, just a flat parking lot) and shuttle busses every 20-30 minutes if I want a ride to the casino to use the restrooms or the restaurants (I do not gamble). But I also park at Truckstops, parking lots, and the occasional campground to refill my tanks and have a campfire.

There was a lot of talk about an East Coast group getting a little more organized forming caravans and finding places to camp with those caravans. Bob and Suanne were in Florida last winter and had a meeting which I was unable to attend. But Covid came and everything got put on hold. I am still interested in working with others to get a little more organized in an East Coast Group. I think when and if Covid gets under control we will Be able to do more as a East Coast bunch of nomads. I am keeping track of writing peoples foreign names on a list so that will have a list of East Coasters to start with when things get back to normal. I would love to see the West Coast especially the national parks but I am now content being a East Coast Snowbird. God bless the nomads especially those on the East Coast.

Nature lover we are sorta East coasters over the spring and thru the summer. We have a bit of land in Kentucky and welcome nomads passing thru.

Hi All I'm wondering if anyone will be metal detecting or maybe magnet fishing? I'm in NJ for and will become a beginner mostly on beaches starting this week. Oh I made my purchases using AmazonSmile for the HOWA org.

Just wondering if I should post this in a different forum?
