Scary for sure but the real question is why in h-e-double hockey sticks does unilever even use Benzine in any of their products in the first place? WTF??? End of rant...
 
I tried buying this at a target recently and the worker literally snatched it out of my hand. Reminds me when talcum powder was found to be bad for you.

Any idea if this is a common thing for dry shampoos or just this fancy brand?
 
Most likely, Benzene was not an active ingredient in the "shampoo", it was part of the aerosol propellant.

The amount of Benzene per use may not have amounted to much, but a carcinogen is a carcinogen in any amount.

Could be that the Benzene never caused any illness, but the threat of lawsuits is what caused the recall.
