I'm not even gonna click on it. My 40 amp was a LOT more expensive than that... I won't discount it though, WM tends to offer some very cheap prices to get rid of stock (normally because they "both suck and blow"), I do keep an eye on their clearance section.

Cheers

Looked around a little an WM has 30A for as low as $16.

For that cheap maybe buy one for a backup?

I doubt it's MPPT.
I have a 10A and a 20A that look the same as that one and they work just fine.

The ad says it's a MPPT controller, it looks good in the picture from here.

The no name brands have really come down in price.

I'd take a chance on it..... cheap stuff always works very well for me.

I just bought a Renogy 30-amp PWM controller on Amazon for $30. the Renogy MPPt was closer to $90.

I know they are all made in China, probably in the same 3 huge factories on the same assembly lines. But I'm willing to pay more for the brand name, because I know if I have a question or a problem with it, Renogy will respond to me. And I know that many of those Chinese fractured-english sellers will never respond to me.

Third party sellers get in and use the market (Amazon, Walmart, etc) to sell items that are sometimes not what they seem. In this case it is someone calling themselves EEEkit...whoever that is. Buyer beware.

High current MPPT controllers usually have a rather noticeably large heatsink...they need that. PWM controllers dont normally need large heat sinks...So it's probably a PWM controller, and most uninformed buyers might not even notice the difference.

Thanks for the heads-up.

"High current MPPT controllers usually have a rather noticeably large heatsink.."

Yep mine does.

Yeah that's definitely a PWM controller. I have a 10a just like it in a different color. It works well for backup power of a 28Ah AGM bank I have on a family property, but I wouldn't trust it for a serious build. I think that's the same name mine was branded as. And as expected the generic manual was just like any auto generated Chinese-English translation you normally come across which can be misleading for some when setting it up.

At the time I bought it I actually didnt want the controller. Just the flexible 25w panel with USB output that came in the kit with it. But it was cheaper that way for some reason.

Fun side note the panel if laid on a flat surface gets hot enough to melt the plastic over one of the cells that I assume has a lead that's too thin going to the next cell. If it has sufficient air flow no melting.

Wait a minute, I just saw this comment on one: "So far I like the look and feel of unit..havent had a chance to really text its power yet" and they gave it 5 stars. Now isn't that trustworthy?

I hope they "text" it soon!
