Did you pay cash for your rig or finance it?

I'm trying to decide whether to buy a van for a couple thousand or use that money as a down payment and get a better van... plus a brief warranty. Just wondering how you all handled that.

The only thing I have ever bought on credit like that is a home and that is paid off...<br><br>It is certainly an option as long as you have a guaranteed income stream. I don't think I would be wanting to have to rustle up a payment every month and of course until it is paid off you have to carry a full deal meal of insurance...<br><br>My good friend who fulltimes in a large slide in camper, buys everything on credit...truck, camper, trailer, bikes. I got a great deal on my bus. Paid $900 cash and traded a 96 pickup worth around $1000. That was over 3 years and 30,000 miles ago.
