Deka Battery Hold-downs/Boxes/Whatever

Hello!!

I bought six of the well-known $84 Deka GC-2 Golf Cart batteries from Sam's Club, and tried today to install them in six of these Camco hold-down trays.

While the trays were of the correct length and width, the vertical hold-down rods weren't long enough. Since so many people here use this battery, does anyone know of a tray that's sure to work? Failing that, what else can I use to secure them to a plywood cargo trailer floor and contain any possible acid spills? I'm not in the least good with tools, so any proposed solution needs to be fairly simple.

IF I were to use those trays, I would bend a length of threaded rod to replace the too short of existing rods. Or there are threaded couplings to join rod together that could be used to extend the rods. Like these, you have to match the thread on your rods. Go to NAPA.

I did look at these GC2 boxes but thought them too expensive at $65.

There are great hold-down straps on the market as well.
