Wow, now that is what I'd consider a child only it's mother could love. Or father in this instance. Little on the pricey side in my opinion as you'd have to do some serious remodeling to make it aesthetically pleasing again. On top of that it's 18 years old and has a quarter million miles and at the end of it's useful life.

It's the 5.4 engine.  More mileage than **I** would be happy with, I would expect to end up putting money into it for repairs in the not-too-distant future.  Here's the VIN # decoded, if you're interested:

Agreed.

If you are willing to go that far back in model years 2-3 years earlier would put you in the range of getting a 5.8 v8, not a good on fuel but far more reliable, or the famous 300-6.

I'm not interested in it. I just thought it was interesting to see what he did on the interior build.

This is, in my opinion, a perfect example of how we guys (can't really say whether you gals do this or not) get carried away with our projects, sink a ton of money and hours into them, and eventually wind up slapping ourselves in the forehead and saying "What the HELL was I thinking?" :D

Words fail me after looking at that money pit.

I wouldn't say it's a money pit. He did it all himself and most of the good parts can be easily salvaged into a new project or just put in storage.

He lived and traveled in it, so it's paid for itself. Even if he sells all the solar parts at 50% of the purchase price, it's still good.

Thanks for the vindecoder. I just figured out a lot of stuff. Like I have a 5.9 and always thought it was a 5.3.  4-wheel ABS instead of 2.

What does this mean, btw:
Curb Weight - Front 2713  lbs  2614.0 min 2772.0 max
Curb Weight - Rear 1737  lbs  1684.0 min 1737.0 max

I think the DC van actually was a good attempt. If the owner really did save DC housing expenses for a year, he could scrap it and has done ok. The first pics looked scary color wise but he actually finished it ok.

I like James' Dodge in Tx but its a shorty. Someone a lot smaller than me would probably do just fine in it though...especially as clean and well kept as it is.
