Hi all, first off I'm a long time listener first time caller.
I've been interested in van dwelling/tiny home/minimalist living for some time now.
I've watched a number of Bob's videos on YouTube and have found them informative and food for thought. So the time has came for a change. I have experience living on a sailboat and being homeless and just generally finding alternative ways of living and surviving. I have a great deal of camping experience as well.
I plan to be active on the forum and to share, learn, and grow as a person as I do. I have experience with using solar as a source of electricity from my time as a pirate on the boat. I have experience wiring and reverse engineering electrical components to meet my needs as well so I'm not as much a newcomer to that aspect. Although I have roamed, aimlessly at times I've never truly lived a nomadic lifestyle but the idea appeals to me quite a bit.
So. Brass tacks. I've recently been approved for disability. Currently I'm living a very minimalist existence on family owned property but that will change very soon. I'll be looking into a van very soon with a few creature comforts and the focus of adding a towing package and eventually a camper trailer as budget permits in the future.
