Grew up with it, used it all my life. The stuff they make nowadays is mostly china junk. Check out some of the cast iron blogs etc. they will clue you in to what is good and what is not. Lot of cast iron here in Q. Scored a # 6 Griswold fry pan today for $12. Table 3 down wanted $38 ! On the hunt for a lid.
