I built a similar pullout kitchen for my GMC, and used heavy duty industrial drawer slides (expensive) but it was smaller due to the limited space. We're thinking of doing this on our Travel Trailer in the front compartment, but then I lose a bunch of storage. Decisions. Decisions.

We do have a small compartment under the sofa that is going to be made into a little pullout wetbar with bottle rack... :D

I had a similar pull out kitchen on my highly modified tent trailer. one day I need to scan those pics and post up some. highdesertranger

Once upon a time I had a fascination with slide out, swing out, and tip out kitchens. The kind that could be used either indoors or out. The problems with all of the ones I had, which were made by others, was that they were very inconvenient to use from the inside. To be low enough for outside use, they were too low to use inside without being on your knees.

Eventually I came to the conclusion that portable camp stoves and portable dish pans for sinks, that could be taken out and used on a portable table or picnic table seemed to work better for me at least, because I could decide what height I wanted them at both inside and outside.

I love the inventiveness of this stuff, and if it works as good in practice as it is neat, that's way cool.

The kid loses his 'cave' when the kitchen is inside the trailer. I would not be leaving the kitchen out during the night. Yogi and ****oo will make a royal mess of it.

look at the video again LR

the kitchenette fits in BEHIND the bulkhead (as shown in the video), and the son sleeps on the floor in front of it.

Nothing is left out to the elements...or to the critters.
