<div><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>This tire's never even been on the road, &amp; it's normally covered with a tire cover <br />to prevent UV damage, but the cover itself disintegrated last Summer.<br /><br />Sure glad I wasn't rolling down the highway on this thing it when it blew!&nbsp;<img src="images/boards/smilies/eek.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><br /><br /></strong></span></div>

This one did explode on the road last weekend.<br />These things are crap, I am in the process of changing all of them.<br />So far we have had three failures in less than 1 yrear..<br /><br /><a href="http://roosterpheasant.blogspot.com/2012/04/what-happens-when-you-blow-tire.html">Here is damage that was done from the first one</a><br /><br />After I could not wait for the factory to get back to me on repair parts I repaired it myself..<br />Six weeks later, they finally let me know of the costs involved... inside fender well ... $1200.00, outer fender $400.00 ( are you kidding me <img src="../images/boards/smilies/mad.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><img src="../images/boards/smilies/mad.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><img src="../images/boards/smilies/mad.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /> )<br /><br /><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-GM_0m1QOrws/T-o5edmPKyI/AAAAAAAAByQ/cgneOPMbTEc/s200/P6132083.jpg" alt="" /><br /><br />Putz

What brand tire did each of you have?<br /><br />

&gt;.&gt; Nankang Load Max Radial is what I think SirJoey's tire says.
<br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>BINGO!<br /><br /><br /></strong></span>

I had the samething happen to me --- spair sitting on the&nbsp;<strong>Cherokee </strong>roof rack -- un-covered --- "Pop-Goes-the-Goodyear" <img src="../images/boards/smilies/thumb.gif" alt="" align="absMiddle" border="0" /><br /><br />But that tire was dryer than my ex-wifey's cooking ---

I know it would be a pain, but if you rotate your spare in with your other tires so it&nbsp;gets some exercise then it would last a lot longer. Tires need to be used so the oil in the rubber&nbsp;is continually massaged around. If not used occasionally the oil migrates away from the sidewalls and the rubber dries out and you see cracking.

<br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>You're prolly right, Starman, but that's a new one on me! Not saying it's not true, mind you, but I've never heard that before.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>But then, it's entirely possible that there's one or two OTHER things I've never heard before, too!&nbsp;<img src="images/boards/smilies/rofl.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><br /><br />I DO know they'll last longer if U protect 'em from UV damage though.&nbsp;<br /><br /></strong></span>

How long did yours last before commiting suicide?&nbsp;I've got a trio of tires on my trailer (hah, say that fast 3x) that came with it. They're at least two years old and Chinese made but haven't exploded on me yet.&nbsp;<br /><br />Think it's because I'm lucky or they're behaving because of who owns them?<br /><br />

<br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Suicide, LOL! <br /><br />Actually, it's a pretty old tire, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Even though it's <br />only been exposed to the elements about a year, the thing is prolly 8 years old, actually.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>There was no sign of dry rot whatsoever, but of course, that's not always evident.</strong></span><br /><br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>BTW, is it just me, or is the forum display acting screwy?&nbsp;<br /><br /></strong></span>

I should change that to "Beef-Loaf" -- "I think at one point it was alive"<br /><br />And it could have been worse -- we had a customer ""DRIVE"" in on this --<br /><br />

<br /><span style="font-family: 'comic sans ms', sans-serif;"><strong>Not sure, but I think I can fix mine with an inner tube &amp; some duct tape...<br /></strong></span>

10 tires in 3 years goes beyond bad luck and sounds more like someone up there is trying to tell you something.&nbsp;<img src="../images/boards/smilies/rofl.gif" alt="" align="absmiddle" border="0" /><br /><br /><br />
