We haven't been very happy about the cool, rainy weather this spring in the southwest but the super bloom has made up for all of it!

There are flowers popping up everywhere but when the hillsides are covered it's really spectaular. This is wild mustard in Chino Hills State Park.

This is our view tonight camped in a pull out along Hudson Ranch Road in Los Padres National Forest. Not a lot of flowers but very green,

Tomorrow we're going to Carrizo Plain National Monument.

Due to the cool weather the flowers are lasting longer this year so there's still time to see them. Check here for some ideas -

ah don't tell me you were at Chino Hills State Park? I recognize that road that is the road to the campground. our ranch bordered the northern boundary of the park just west of the campground. I am about 20 minutes south of the park as I type this. highdesertranger

That's a beautiful area! The road to the campground is a little stressful though with all of the blind curves, one lane sections and people using the road as a trail.
Hope the weather stays nice for your trailer build out!

Wow! Familiar to me, too.   I lived for much of my adult life in the San Gabriel Valley and the San Bernardino mountains--where "north" is where the mountains are and Spring of wildflowers and green hills is much too short.
