I didn't know where to post this topic. Hope here is okay.

My husband has to use a C-Pap machine at night. To be ready to start our adventure next spring we have to take this into account as a priority.

With solar, would he get enough stored energy to run a C-Pap? Or will we have to use shore power?

If solar is possible, what/how many batteries would it require alone?

Cheers.

I should mention that the C-Pap is 12 Volts and 5A Watts with a usage of approximately 7 hours per day. I tried using the calculator I found but it reads 'Greek' to me as I'm not knowledgeable on solar panels. This is something I will have to remedy.

There are many Cpap threads somewhere int he archives.

The actual electrical consumption varies widely, depending on IF the Humidifier is used or not.

I'd recommend having 100 watts and at least 85 Ah capacity of battery dedicated to just the Cpap, but the humidifier could push these requirements higher.

Wait for those more experienced with actual Cpap use to chime in, or search out some older threads on this topic
