26 degrees at Caballo Loco (southern Arizona) with a light dusting of the white stuff in patches and on the vehicles. Hope everyone stays warm and freezing water lines don’t burst!
While we were getting snow yesterday in the Texas Panhandle, at the exact same time, down in Houston area, they were getting tornadoes...its a weird winter!
43 degrees this morning when I woke. Forty is when my hands feel too cold for comfort. The high this afternoon is predicted to be a sunny 69, that will do But it will be a breezy so moderated with some wind chill.
It is time to go to Yuma town this morning to get groceries, mail letters at the post office, explore a bit too.
Pleasant weather today here by Yuma. A bit nippy this morning but not so cold that I felt compelled to turn on the heater. No need for it this evening either. Making breakfast and dinner on my little butane stove was sufficient to take the slight chill off.
Quit freezing you buns off and come down south for the winters.
Yep, it is nice today at 66 degrees but we do have some wind here 33 miles north of the border, in site of Kitts Peak Observatory. Nice being a new member as I feel young again! Lol!!!
Minus 6°F where I am now and batteries low due to the cold and running the diesel heater on high for the last couple days. The WEN 3800 inverter generator started right up but the Black and Decker 40 amp charger wouldn't work at this temperature. Plugged in the old school transformer type Harbor Freight 25 amp charger and it works fine. Sometimes high tech is beat by old school simple.
I learned 2 things this morning. Winterized diesel will gell somewhere around 0°F unless anti gell is added and a fancy smart charger may not work where an old school simple charger will.
